A little bit about me: I am a loc stylist on the weekends, during the week I am a full-time grad student and middle school teacher. I’ve been styling locs for about 4 years now and hope to continue to grow and master my craft while continuing my education and making sure our babies are well informed before they transition to high school.

How social media changed my life: In the beginning this page was only to showcase my love for hair/braids/locs. Now it has turned into a business for me and I’ve gained lots of new clientele since starting this page last year!

What I love most about being a loc stylist: I love the fact that people trust me with their locs. It’s really a good feeling! I can be creative while also sharing knowledge with others.

Tips for newbies: (I’m still a newbie) I’d say just start ! Even if you don’t think you’re good enough. Practice, practice, practice. No one start off perfect. The more you work the better you will get!

First time featured on GOOD LOC DAY was... May 8, 2019. First time I was featured on good loc day I was very surprised. Being new to this craft I didn’t think my work was that great so it was nice to have that shout out. It motivated me to keep going!

Thank you, @byashleighjordan

We appreciate you for taking time out of your busy schedule to share your loc tips.
