Tell us a little about yourself: Hey! I am DeAnna also known as Clutch. I am 25 years old born in Youngstown, Ohio & raised in Lithonia, Georgia. I’ve been doing locs non-professionally since I was 13 but stopped when I attended school at Valdosta State University for Accounting. After my freshman year I dropped out of college and joined the United States Navy in 2014. I am still Active Duty, but from the time I joined up until 2018 locs were not authorized in the Navy but I decided to start my locs anyway and wear a wig in uniform. Once locs were allowed I began starting a few of my peers loc journeys, after that, it’s been nothing but blessings ever since.

How social media changed my life: Wow. Social media, specifically Instagram is what helped me get to where I am today. When I started in October 2018 I relied on Instagram and word of mouth. Remaining Consistent helped me get the exposure I needed.

What I love most about being a loc stylist?
What I love the most about being a Loc stylist is the opportunity to meet new people wether it’s clients or different stylist. Being a Loc stylist is my passion & business, but it is therapeutic seeing my clients loc transformations & personal journeys.

The first time I was featured on GOOD LOC DAY was...July 15th, 2019. It was when I did my very first Sisterlocks ™️ install after taking the course in June. I remember being so proud of that install and made a recap video and freaking out when Good Loc Day reposted it lol. Thank you so much.

Thank you, @clutchnloc
